Use these reminders whenever you connect with someone on TradieCrews.
Before you engage
- Verify licences and insurance for the trade and state.
- Confirm ABN where applicable.
- Check reviews and ask for references.
On the job
- Meet in safe, public or supervised locations where possible.
- Be cautious with cash payments. Get receipts.
- Never share bank passwords, MyGov logins or other sensitive credentials.
- Report suspicious users immediately using the Report button.
Verification badges
Verified badges indicate admin review of ABN and licence details. They do not guarantee work quality. Always do your own checks.
What happens when you report
Reports are reviewed within 48 hours. We may suspend accounts, remove content or escalate to authorities.
Scam red flags
Be wary of requests for upfront payment without a quote, pressure to communicate outside the platform, and offers that seem too good to be true.
Emergency contact
For emergencies or immediate safety concerns, contact police on 000. For non-urgent reports, use the in-app Report button.
Disputes
TradieCrews is not responsible for offline interactions between users. We may provide basic dispute support but cannot enforce agreements between you.
